Rodney Collins is a UKCP registered psychotherapist and Director of Phocus Psychotherapy – a private practice in central London.
He works with both individuals and groups, using psychodynamic and cognitive analytic approaches.
Rodney has extensive experience practising within the NHS and the voluntary sector - including specific training in helping clients to overcome addictive behaviours. Rodney holds an MSc in Psychoanalytic Theory from University College London, a Post-graduate diploma in Group Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths College, and a Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the New School for Psychotherapy and Counselling. He completed his clinical training at St Thomas’s Hospital London, where he trained in both group and cognitive-analytic psychotherapies. He also trained in substance misuse and addictive behaviours with the Drug and Alcohol Foundation in Westminster.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Rodney worked in the financial industry for many years and holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BSc in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
